Where is the ASA Effect test available?
In Canada, the ASA Effect test is available through LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services.
What kind of sample is required?
A simple urine sample is required and can be collected at a LifeLabs Patient Service Centre or in a physician’s office.
Where do I go to submit a sample?
You can visit any LifeLabs patient service centre in Canada. A list of our locations can be found at www.lifelabs.com.

Do I require an appointment?
No appointment is necessary. However, a physician requisition is required to perform all laboratory testing.
How long will it take for my results?
Test results will be available within two weeks from time of collection.
What is the cost of testing?

Is it covered by my provincial health plan?
The ASA Effect test may or may not be covered by your provincial health plan or your private insurance plan. If it is not covered, you will be charged at time of collection.
How do I pay for the service?
Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard or cheque before LifeLabs collects your sample.
